About Us

The ITU Acceleration Centre in Tanzania is hosted by the Tanzania Information and Communication Technologies Commission (ICTC)  an  institution mandated to advance digital innovation, skills development, and ICT policy research across the country.

As part of the ITU Acceleration Centres Network, our Centre serves as a catalyst for inclusive digital transformation, providing support to startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators tackling local and global development challenges. Recognized by national authorities and operating under full regulatory compliance, we act as a trusted platform connecting innovation to opportunity.

Our work aligns with the strategic objectives of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance for Digital Development, enabling Tanzania to contribute meaningfully to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We aim to empower communities, build resilient digital ecosystems, and position Tanzania as a regional hub for innovation.
